The Black Fox - Bath

The rooms are spacious with sharply sloping ceiling which restricted space, and the location is unbeatable so close to everything.

Units on the top level.

The bar has a charming ambience, but the small bathroom sink was inconvenient.

The location was good in a central part of the town & so close to the town centre. We booked contemporary and new-fashioned room with air conditioning.

Nicely furnished room and staff is always extraordinarily friendly and excellent.

Black fox has a fantastic location right in the heart of town! The king room was so comfortable, and it was a lovely touch when they took care of our bags before check-in. Breakfast was freshly made, and we loved that they used locally sourced ingredients.

Narrow stairs lead up to the rooms, which may be a bother if you're dragging heavy bags. The bathroom sink lacked space for basic tasks like brushing teeth due to a glass shelf above it. The noise from the main road can be a nuisance for light sleepers, especially during busy times, while a lack of standard beer options in the bar was a letdown for a nightcap.

The breakfast offered a variety of tasty options. The staff were great, particularly the woman at breakfast, who ensured everyone was taken care of. I did face some issues. The room got quite hot, even with the fan running, uncomfortable at night. There was also noise from the street that disturbed my sleep. I had a confusing check-in experience regarding the bar's availability. It was closed earlier than expected, leaving me without a place to grab a drink after dinner. Parking proved to be another hassle, as finding a nearby spot wasn't easy, and I had to walk quite a distance to the venue. Despite these setbacks, the quirky decor and overall atmosphere were good.
